Thrissur:

Sukumar Azhikode Foundation will observe the ninetieth birth anniversary of Sukumar Azhikode, the renowned writer, critic, journalist and orator who passed away in 2012 with year-long programmes beginning Saturday.

Education minister C Raveendranath will inaugurate the event to be presided by the foundation chairman M P Abdussamad Samadani. Kerala Sahitya Akademi president Vaisakhan master will deliver the remembrance speech. Renowned personalities from different fields will participate in the programmes.

The Azhikode Foundation will also combine the various audio files of Sukumar Azhikode’s speeches as a tribute to him during the event.
